About the event
SPPC has five different letterpress machines on the pressroom floor. Come see how each of them work, how you can use them, and practice on each of them! Each press will have a demonstration print set up and ready for you to print. We’ll cover basic makeready, inking, registration, and cleanup.
The class is taught by Thom Caraway, the designer and publisher for Rock & Sling and Trochaic Press. He has designed over 50 books and magazines, and teaches courses in editing, book design, and publishing at Whitworth University. He has been working in letterpress printing since 2016, and is a founder of the SPPC.
