Relief Printing Fundamentals with Justus Brozek (Multi-Day Workshop)

Join Justus Brozek, printmaker, educator, and current Assistant Director of Interdisciplinary Programs and Shared Curriculum at Whitworth University, for a TWO-PART workshop that will teach you everything you need to know about relief printing.

Students will learn concepts and practice the fundamentals of relief printing—materials, mark making, carving, printing, and more—during their first session.

They will then have a week to prepare a design to bring back the following week to carve and print on an 8x10 linoleum block. Students will leave this two-part workshop with a strong understanding of relief printing, a carved linoleum block, and several copies of prints.

Session 1: Saturday, October 18, 10AM-2PM

Session 2: Saturday, October 25, 10AM-2PM

Please note that this is a two-part workshop and it is expected for both sessions to be attended.
